A new Blogspirit !
Finally !
A new Blogspirit version is born with the following new features :
- Custom Blocks that will let you insert HTML or Javascript code for any feature you may find on the Internet such as multimedia modules, search motors or sponsorised links. ("Columns content" section)
- Trackbacks. Did you ever want to comment a post directly on your blog ? Trackbacks let you do that, you'll find this new feature in the "new post" -> "advanced settings" sections. More is coming soon about Trackbacks on Technoblogs.
- Security from "evil links" and spamming. Blogspirit has already a system to protect every blog from spamming, you will now have a security level on your own blog by closing automatically comments and trackbacks on old posts after 1 month, 2 weeks or 3 days... ("Post Settings" section).
- International Bloging : chinese blogs will now have an blog administration in chinese ! Blogspirit supports any language from any country for bloging.
New features mean new tips that will be soon available on TechnoBlog !
What you need to do to get all these new features. :
Restaure ONLY the following templates (Design-> Advanced Design) :
Index
Archive
Categories
Comments
Permalink
About Page
List Item
Album Templates : all
Atom
Syndication
NB : You may restaure these templates by ticking each template and clicking on "Restaure original version", don't forget to not tick the "Style" template and the "Calendar" template (you could have mean surprises on your blog...)
If you have already modified your templates by yourself, you will need to check the differences and edit your templates. (Leave a comment for help if needed and I will post something on it).

What I did is after I noticed the new block function has been working that I've moved all my custom adjustments that I did to my templates to the custom boxes I created.
In this case, there are 2 advantages.
1. I can adjust where I want the box to show up in the page with just re-order them.
2. In any case, I need to restore any templates of my blog. What's in the box will still be in the box without worry that it will go away or lose.

After I deleted the blogspirit categories, I can't make my own categories show up. What's the problem?

Lisa -> Are you sure you still have this problem ?
Your own categories seem to work well on your blog...
Remember that your categories need to have post within to be displayed on your blog, if a category got no post it just don't show.

Well, smileys are just images and blogSpirit proposes uploading images when editing a post so you should find your answer this way.
PS : please let your blog URL, isn't it nicer to know who's talking ?

If your categories on BlogSpirit disappear, try setting your timezone to something else. When I changed it from Eur/Paris to an American Time Zone, my categories disappeared. When I set it back, they reappeared. The only fix I found for have the right time zone was to set it with one of the ETC/ settings, that sets the time + or - the number of hours from GMT. Hope this helps out others!
